New Coach: Andy Powell

Whitchurch are very pleased to announce that Andy Powell, ex Wales and British Lion is coming to be head coach at the club. Andy has played 23 times for Wales and was in the 2009 British and Irish Lions squad to South Africa. It came about with a chance meeting with chairman Dave Windsor and when he found out that Whitchurch were looking for a coach he said, "I'm not doing anything this year" and offered to come for the love of the game. Just by speaking with him you can see the passion and love of the game and his enthusiasm to get involved with not only the playing side but getting offering to get involved with sponsors and short question and answers at the pre match lunches. 

This has proven to be a massive boost for the club with a big crowd on Saturday for the first league game and an increase in training numbers. We are looking forward to an exciting season.
